GT Jeronimo

Jerry was broken in at GT as a 3yo and demonstrated soft elastic paces with a charming character. He was sold as a 4yo and then later sold to his current owner Simone. Jerry and Simone have achieved great success in their short time together and we are sure the future holds many more rewarding experiences ahead.

Simone and GT Jeronimo

A note from Simone….. I purchased Jerry in early 2011 after looking for a new horse for over a year we seemed to click straight away. Jerry is by far the most charismatic horse that I have ever owned he is cheeky and playful but doesn’t get into your space. Food is probably the most important thing to Jerry, he will literally do anything to get more food, and sometimes he gets a little too inquisitive even to the point of chewing on my iphone! I enjoy having Jerry around he is easy to handle and train every way which makes our partnership/friendship quite strong. Currently we are just working on our medium level dressage movements and hope to be out competing elementary early next year.

The dam’s sire Rosenkavalier,is deemed the best Romadour II son, having started a new era in dressage horse breeding, especially through his son Rubenstein.Very few stallions are lucky enough to stay in the headlines year after year and get better each year too. No matter how old he was – Farewell III was always one of the best in sport, as a Bundeschampion, best breeding stallion in the Nürnberg Burgpokal or, in 2011, in the Grand Prix Final of the German Championships for Professional Riders in Hagen a.T.W. with Markus Gribbe in the saddle, he has won fifteen first places in advanced level up to Grand Prix.

GT Horse Of The Month(September) GT Fraulein

GT Fraulein(Cookie) 2008 Sired by Fhillosopher out of GT Rhea. Owned and ridden by Petra Keranen.

Cookie at 3 months old.

GT Fraulein’s sire Fhillosopher is the magic cross of Fidermark and Romadour II. Fidermark was an outstanding breeding and competition stallion that sadly passed away far too early in his life. Jo Hinneman, said, “Fidermark–that for me is the perfect horse. A dream horse. He has won around 20 Prix St. Georges/Intermediaire tests with a 20 yearl old girl,Marlies riding him, which shows what an absolutely perfect character he has, and how light and sensitive he is to ride, and how connected he is to people and how he wants to show himself. The basic gaits are fantastic.”  YOUTUBE FOOTAGE of GT Fraulein’s sire Fhillosopher

GT Rhea.

GT Fraulein’s mother GT Rhea is sired by the dutch stallion Rhodium a son of the famous Olympic Ferro. Rhodium is descibed as a stallion rich in dressage blood, as well as jumping ability. Rhodium is a very well developed and extremely harmonious stallion that stands in a perfect rectangle. At his performance test the judges made the following comments: “Rhodium is a very well-modeled stallion that has a good forehand and strong upperline.  His legs have lots of quality. His pace as well as his trot has natural wide space. Rhodium trots with lots of imprint and tact.  When galloping we see the same good results as when trotting.  The natural ability of Rhodium to become an excellent dressage horse is enormous.”  GT Rhea’s mother GT Concordia is sired by Contango II out of a Sir Tristram mare.

GT Concordia.

A NOTE FROM PETRA -We purchased Cookie when she was 3.5 months old together with her mother, Rhea. Cookie has always been a very cheeky foal / yearling. Cheeky but sensible. Any work leading up to breaking in was just super easy, she loves learning and takes everything in her stride. This has not changed throughout the breaking in process and her early training stages and I am not expecting her positive, happy and willing attitude to change. She is such a fun horse to be with and food is her passion, besides dressage! She only has had limited lessons and feedback has always been super positive. I am very excited to have such a fantastic youngster coming up. Petra Keranen.

Petra and Cookie.

Cookie is a very exciting youngster and we look forward to watching this happy partnership develop in to something special.

Astonia(Annie) 2 yo with Susan’s daughter Lara.

A note from Susan. – I had been looking for my next riding partner for quite a while when I met little Annie for the first time. I’m an amateur rider who enjoys all types of riding and wanted a horse that was quiet but capable. I liked Annie the moment I saw her. She had a bit of spunk but was laid back. I’m not lucky enough to have a support team when I go out and so need the confidence in my horse to be sensible and ‘low’ maintenance. The thing that blows me away with Annie is her temperament. She is so chilled but interested in everything. Not much gets her flustered but she is sensitive and learns quickly if her ground work is anything to go by. She is my buddy too. She always comes over to say hi when I go down to the paddock. One afternoon, not so long ago,I was down pulling some weeds and took a break and sat down on the arena. Annie came over pawed the ground and laid down beside me. Us girls just sat there for quite a while enjoying the birds and lovely afternoon. I think that sums up my special girl. I cant wait until she’s ready to ride. I think we are going to have plenty of fun. Thank you James & Georgia for selling her to me. She is so much more than I had ever hoped for. Sincerely, Susan  Hinton.

The most rewarding thing about breeding horses is when they meet their perfect partner. Annie did the day she met Susan.

What a fun month we have had, with this great bunch of 3 yo’s.
