It was a day for the stallions to take centre stage and our guests to enjoy the show,an impressive turnout of over 250 people.crowd

We would like to thank Belcam stud for the fantastic venue and their hospitality in assisting with the set up. Jembrae Warmbloods Young Horse Championship.

The Jembrae Warmblood Young Horse Championship was held at Park Ridge on the 10th June. Florentina GT placed 2nd in the 4yo class on a final score of 7.68

GT Horse Of The Month (June) GT Printemps.

GT Printemps Bay Mare 2002 Sired  By Le Primeur out of GT Concordia. Owned by Christine Doan and ridden by Daiki Chujo.

This noble stallion is the successful product of the Hanoverian breeding program for show jumpers (PHS). Le Primeur was the sovereign winner of the stallion performance test in 2000. He achieved high results in both dressage and jumping category and attracted everybody’s attention by his willingness to work. Apart from his outstanding jumping ability the stallion convinces by three good basic gaits, especially by a tremendous uphill canter. LePrimeur descends from a damline with the highest evaluation for conformation. Le Primeur’s offspring inherit his extraordinary beauty and often his brilliant color, as well as his exceptional jumping ability and top class movements.

DAM – GT Concordia

GT Concordia

Concordia is sired by the imported Oldenburg stallion Conatngo II. Conatngo II had a short but very successful breeding career. His progeny are noted for outstanding temperament and attractive looks. Contango II’s dam line needs little introduction. He is out of Abraxis, who is by the world renowned French sire Alme Z. Alme Z is considered to be one of the most influential jumping sires,along with the legendary Hanoverian sire Gotthard.  Contango II is by the influential sire Contango, who is a multi-grand prix dressage winner in the USA for the reputable Iron Spring Farm. Contango was Champion of his 100-Day Test in Medingen, Germany in 1991. In 1997 he achieved seven wins at Grand Prix, and in 2002 he was awarded Keur status by the KWPN. Contango became only the second horse to attain this status after leaving the Netherlands  Concordia’s dams sire is the thoroughbred stallion Sir Tristram,who’s pedigree is royalty,he was by the outstanding racehorse,Champion English 3yo Sir Ivor out of a mare who carried the impeccable bloodlines of – Princequillo,My Babu,Feola,Lavendula – plus Isolt’s third dam Selene,was the dam of the great Hyperion. Not only an incredible racehorse sire,Sir Tristram has proven to be a top sire of performance horses.

GT Printemps


Printemps won her filly class at the 2003 ACE day and was champion foal. She received 82% for conformation and 80% for movement. Printemps is an elastice mover with a very impressive canter. She is a jumping machine with amzing scope and bascule. In late 2012 Printemps and Daiki made the journey to Germany where they are stabled and training with the 2012 London Olympic gold medalist Dirk Schrade. Daiki and Printemps are working towards the dream of representing Japan at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in France.  We wish Daiki and Printemps all the best on the road to living the dream!

GT Horse of the month(April) Florentina GT

Florentina 4yo mare by Fhillosopher out of GT Concur. Owned by GT Sporthorses.

Fhillosopher presents in a beautiful riding exterior with elastic,balanced and engaged paces,he is the dressage riders dream horse. Fhillosopher was an accomplished YH in Germany,competing and placing in the company of stallions such as Damon Hill,His Highness and For Joy with Isabel Werth,before being sold and exported to the USA. His sire Fidermark was an outstanding breeding and competition stallion that sadly passed away far too early in his life. Jo Hinneman,said, “Fidermark–that for me is the perfect horse. A dream horse. He has won around 20 Prix St. Georges/Intermediaire tests with a 20 yearl old girl,Marlies riding him, which shows what an absolutely perfect character he has, and how light and sensitive he is to ride, and how connected he is to people and how he wants to show himself. The basic gaits are fantastic.

Concur 2

Concur is a magic mare,who never fails to produce brilliance. Sire Contango II –  Imported Oldenburg sired by Contango winner of his 100 day testing at Medingen,Germany in 1991. Contango was awarded Keur status by the KWPN in 2002. On the dameline of Contango II are the highly influential jumping sires Alme Z and Gotthard. Contango II is a sire that stamped is progeny with stylish good looks and outstanding temperament. His progeny have competed in Grand Prix showjumping and FEI level dressage. Dam Sire – Aachen(Azzaro) Imported to Australia as a 3yo,before being exported back to Germany as a Grand Prix showjumper for a record sum. Aachen a son of the legendary Argentinus has established himself as one of the greatest sires to be imported to Australia. He has sired numerous highly successful dressage horses competing up to Grand Prix level, showjumpers and World Equestrian Games representative Belcam Ava. Florentina GT has been undersaddle for a total of six months. Flo is an extremely exciting young dressage horse with her engaged,light and elastic paces. She is always an eager student and enjoys to work with her rider. Flo had her second competition early this month competing at Preliminary level with scores of 74.5% and 71.2% . Her half brother GT Sir Stirling(Stedinger) was exported to Holland in late 2010. Another half brother GT Don Frangelico was 2010 ACE highest scoring colt in Australia. Her mother’s half brother Adloo Richard(Royal Hit) is competing successfuly at med/adv level with Di Jenkyn’s.


GT Horse Of The Month(March) GT Daniro

GT Daniro chestnut stallion sired by Damiro IFS out of Belcam Glaze. Owned by Chris & Jane Bell of Bellara Park. www.bellarapark.com

Damiro is a son of Ramiro Z and out of an Alme Z mare. All the top european jumping blood is combined in this outstanding stallion. The combination of French &  German breeding is very sought after in europe and producers exceptional jumping horses. Damiro was champion of his year with five high sores of 9’s and two 8.5’s. Damiro jumps very carefully and skilfully with a good lift-off,a sound technique and an excellent eye for a stride. Damiro’s foals are noted for a surperior riding type,with excellent legs and good movements and inherit their sire’s good character and easiness to ride.

Dam: Belcam Glaze(her sire Grannus II and Ulrich Klatte)

Grannus II

Belcam Glaze is by the imported stallion Grannus II out of Just Pretty xx (Nunsoquick). Glaze is also the dam of the senstional producing broodmare GT Welkin by Weltmeyer and GT Danosa by Don Juan who had a successful start in eventing with Brett Cantel before being sold.

Daniro is a beautiful picture of a horse,extremely correct in type,with good bone. He started his early training and competition with Swen Peters. Swen is a level II Coach and German Bereiter from Armidale NSW. Daniro was sold through the Belcam Auction in 2008 to Chris and Jane Bell of Bellara Park. He landed in horsie heaven when he arrived at Bellara Park. Daniro was successfuly competed by Ben Bell and Alana Pearson up to World Cup level. He is a stallion that has been consistent in producing beautiful riding types,as well as passing on his exceptional temperament. His progeny have been wonderfully versatile and bring home ribbons in showing,dressage and eventing.

GT Horse of the month(February) “GT Jake”

GT Jake’s sire Jazz


Jazz dressage sire of the decade. Jazz was performance tested in 1994 described as honest, reliable, temperamental, likes to look at everything. Very willing to work and works well. The walk is easy with a long stride. He carries himself well in the trot, has very good use of the foreleg and has sufficient power.  He has a great deal of talent for dressage and gives his rider a good feeling. His scores were well above average with an 8 for his walk, an impressive 9.5 for his trot 8.5 for his canter with three 9’s for trainability, stable behavior and overall training. By the age of thirteen Jazz was trained and competed at Grand Prix level by Tineke Bartels. The pair were a member of the Dutch team at the 2002 World Equestrian Games winning also the CDI in Eindhoven. In janury 2005 Broere Jazz returned to the competition ring with Broere’s leading rider Kirsten Beckers at the national dressage show in Boxtel, the Netherlands to win the Grand Prix with 70.63%. KWPN in 2007. Two sons of Jazz in their first season at Stud both proved a popular choice with breeders with Wynton covering 636 mares and Westpoint covering 681. These young Jazz sons show tremendous aptitude as a Grand prix horses of the future.

Her sire Aachen was imported to Australia as a 3yo,before being exported back to Germany as a Grand Prix showjumper for a record sum. Aachen a son of the legendary Argentinus has established himself as one of the greatest sires to be imported to Australia. He has sired numerous highly successful dressage horses competing up to Grand Prix level, showjumpers and World Equestrian Games representative Belcam Ava. Holger Wulschner  “A stallion with unlimited possibilities,enormous talent and careful” Aargene is also the mother of GT Rhapsody by Rhodium owned by Bennet Conn and GT Oylmpus by the Jazz son Olivi exported to Asia.

Jakey Jake

GT Jake presents in a perfect frame. He has tremendous scope,spectacular elevation of the forehand and is a movement magician. Jake showed huge potential under saddle,but sadly due to a breeding injury it was cut short. Jake stood 3 seasons in Australia before being exported to New Zealand in 2010. Jake’s first progeny commenced under saddle late last year and have surpassed all our expectation’s. Royston Equine have had 2  highly successful breeding seasons with Jake,producing foals that make a dressage rider’s heart sing.
